Ennismore recently confirmed its plans for opening The Hoxton, Madrid, set to be inaugurated in 2026, further reinforcing its already established dominance in lifestyle hospitality. With its 2022 compact with The Hoxton, Poblenou in Barcelona, it is the brand’s second incorporation in the country. After all, it does serve as an ideal location with it set to be located at Plaza de Santa Ana, in the vibrant historic center of Madrid, bound to be key for any travelers enamored by local culture married with comfort and style.

The Hoxton, Madrid, will occupy an iconic modernist-style building designed by renowned architect Jesús Carrasco-Muñoz y Encina. The hotel’s design will maintain the brand’s trademark aesthetic, offering a welcoming, layered space that’s both functional and stylish. Guests will enjoy a cozy yet chic atmosphere, marked by modern furnishings, plush fabrics, and retro-inspired decor, all paying homage to the neighborhood’s historical charm.

The open-plan lobby will serve as a social hub, with an all-day coffee bar and lounge area. It will cater to a range of guests, from those looking to catch up on work to others meeting for casual conversations. This communal space is designed to be both versatile and relaxing, making it ideal for anyone, whether staying briefly or for a longer period.

Ennismore’s culinary platform will curate the hotel’s restaurant and bar offerings. One of the standout venues will be Il Bambini Club, a lively trattoria with locations in Paris and London. This Italian restaurant will feature a vibrant bar and open kitchen, offering a welcoming atmosphere for guests to enjoy great food and drinks.

On the rooftop, Cayo Coco will introduce a lively Cuban-inspired bar. This venue will be perfect for post-work drinks or weekend relaxation, offering tropical cocktails, crisp beers, and an extensive wine list. Both dining spaces promise to contribute significantly to the city’s culinary scene.

The hotel will feature 192 guest rooms and suites, designed with simple color palettes, soft textures, and bold furniture. These rooms will cater to various preferences, with five different categories. Guests can expect a comfortable stay with Hox’s signature touches, such as Roberts Radios, exclusive Blank toiletries, and the Madrid edition of the Survival Guide—a curated guide to the city’s must-see attractions.

For meetings and events, The Apartment will offer a flexible space perfect for both business and leisure gatherings. Whether hosting a meeting or social event, this space will have everything needed for a productive and enjoyable experience.

One of the key highlights of The Hoxton, Madrid is its prime location in Plaza de Santa Ana, one of Madrid’s most sought-after areas. Guests will be just a short walk from Madrid’s world-class cultural attractions, including the Prado Museum, Reina Sofía Museum, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. The neighborhood is also known for its lively atmosphere, with numerous tapas bars, cafes, and vibrant markets that embody the spirit of Spanish culture.

Madrid’s renowned festivals, such as San Isidro and Madrid Pride, will be easily accessible to guests, providing an authentic experience of local traditions and celebrations. With its historic streets filled with theaters, galleries, and live music venues, Plaza de Santa Ana offers an immersive environment for those looking to explore Madrid’s creative side.

The Hoxton’s Madrid debut comes at an exciting time for Ennismore, with multiple openings planned across Europe, including Oslo, Kraków, and Hamburg. The brand is also expanding internationally with new hotels in Melbourne and Nashville. The Hoxton continues to be a sought-after name in the hospitality sector, offering a mix of high-end comfort, local immersion, and contemporary style.
