Operates: Beginning at the Bourse Building right across from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, plug into our multi-lingual headphone audio to discover the origins of America, since Philadelphia is where America’s Founding Fathers first declared independence from England, and then ratified the US Constitution and Bill of Rights to start the new nation. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of such historic landmarks including the Christ Church Burial Grounds, Elfreth’s Alley, the Betsy Ross House, and Independence Hall, to name just a few. As you head west, see the Friendship Gate in Chinatown, be amazed by the architecture of Philadelphia’s City Hall, and be sure to explore the various museums along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, including the Barnes Foundation – known as the world’s largest collection of post-impressionistic art in the world. As you continue your journey, marvel at Philadelphia’s growing skyline and get a bird’s-eye view from atop the One Liberty Observation Deck. Your loop finishes up after touring through the charming neighborhood of Society Hill and a drive along the banks of the Delaware River.

We purchased a 2 day online the day before we wanted to go. The zoo cluster of stops was not visited with no reason why explained to us. One the 2nd day, we were told the afternoon before that it was going to be closing early for a parade and to get to the stop right at 9:30. We tried, the shuttle was late causing us to miss the first bus. Then, half the stops weren’t visited because of road closures and we were told we had to stay on the bus close to 2pm or we wouldn’t be taken back to show up. We got off in the late morning and no buses were punctual picking us up. It definitely wasn’t every 30 minutes! It was very upsetting. I feel like we didn’t get the full 2 days and didn’t receive a discount for the lack of service.
Mike was very personable and knowledgeable. A great experience. Highly recommend. I applaud Keisha the driver I could never navigate and drive that monster double decker in the height of Philly traffic esp on those small streets. Great team.
We had a great time on this tour. Matt was a great guide who not only provided information but entertainment as well! We quickly learned to duck when he said 'duck'. We did the full loop first and then hopped on and off the second time around. I am sure there is a reason why they don't expand the tour to include some of the other neighborhoods (e.g. South Philly, South Street) but it would be fun to see those areas too.
3 day pass was worth every penny. We had 4 different guides and drivers, only 1 guide was plain. Our last guide, Hilary, was AMAZING. Her fellow driver, FEARLESS. I say that because our tour was rerouted 3 times and both ladies were professional and made our tour special. Though we're were 'stuck' in traffic they rolled with the punches and it was a perfect way to end our travels.
This was a great experience. My friend and I were in the city for a short time and wanted a tour to get us acquainted with the history of the city. We started the tour at stop 1 and stayed on for the full loop. The tour guide, Jim, was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. Sit on the top of the bus in the front but beware the tree limbs. We elected not to hop on and hop off.
