ItineraryWe'll rally at Summit Coffee in the River Arts District, grab our morning beverages and head to the mountains in our respective vehicles. The drive to the trail will be scenic and should not take more than an hour.
Once at the trailhead we'll stretch out, warm up and your guide will review some best hiking practices, safety, dish out the hiking poles and share what they love most about this hike. Expect to hike 3-5 miles over terrain that may be challenging at times, but nothing anyone new to hiking could not handle. This is the Blue Ridge Mountains and we often have to work for our rewards of epic views and dramatic waterfalls.
Along the hike your guide will interpret the landscape, plants and wildlife that you will encounter. From wildflowers to fungus, melodic birds, animal tracks and anything else that's encountered!
Once we get to the payoff we'll find a spot to enjoy the scenery, have some snacks and refresh for the hike back to the trailhead. We are proud to provide fresh fruit, trail mix and other healthy snacks to keep everyone energized.
At the end we'll share high-fives and head back to Asheville in our own vehicles. It'll be the perfect way to start the day.
