Itinerary

A guided tour of a Thoroughbred breeding farm. Enjoy an up-close experience with the largest herd of rare white Thoroughbreds in the world! 65 acres: 3 barns + breeding shed, 12 paddocks, nursery, broodmares, retired racehorses, & stallions. Discover all stages of a horse's life including their journey as a racehorse or Disney movie star!

The farm is also home to rabbits, chickens and quails - a fun and interactive stop on the tour! Depending on the day, we may engage with various professionals in the Thoroughbred industry, as this is working Thoroughbred breeding farm.

On site: restroom, ample parking, gift shop, half kitchen, picnics tables, & RV overnight stay (upon request)

We wanted to make sure and tour a horse farm while in Lexington and it was hard to choose which one of the many we should visit. I came across Megson Farms on TripAdvisor and decided on it because of the one on one experience. Our group of 3 toured the farm with Valerie, the owner's daughter. She was super informative and sweet. Since it was just us we were able to ask as many questions as we liked. The horses were gorgeous and we had the opportunity to pet several of them. If you prefer a more personal experience, I definitely recommend Megson Farms.

We had a great time with Berva, Champ her pup, and all of the gorgeous horses! Me, my sister, and our momma were on a girls trip and wanted to see some horses, we picked the right place. Berva has a beautiful property and she is super friendly, very knowledgeable about horses. She had some pretty neat stories about the them too! You won’t be disappointed!

Waited for 20 minutes and no one showed up to give us a tour. No one responded to our texts or voicemail to help. Looking to Viator for a refund!

AMAZING. We did a gals day (just two of us) and had a private tour and picnic. The horses are wonderful, very well taken care of, and the farm is beautiful. The pups and other animals were a fun addition too! Valerie and her mother are great and doing an amazing job. I grew up with horses and my friend has no experience and it was great for both of us! The picnic was perfect as well!

Beautiful farm, gorgeous horses, one on one tour. Berva Megson, owner of Megson Farms, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She is also one of the hardest working woman I have ever met. You will not be disappointed with your visit of her rare white thoroughbreds and her beautiful farm. And Champ, the star of the farm, will give you sloppy kisses and welcome you to his farm with a full body wiggle.

We had an opportunity to tour this farm personally with the owner. This place is truly amazing, we learned all about the breeding of the thoroughbred horses and racing and was able to pet and hand feed the horses. Their dog Champ, a beautiful white dog, was able to round up some of the horses to the fence lines and play with them. One of the friendliest puppy dogs 🐶 on earth, and so are the horses! The yearlings were so cute, and it was amazing to watch the herd of horses run through the fields. The white horses were simply amazing, but even the other ones had incredible markings. Berva was so kind and passionate during our special visit to this breathtaking place. Not to be missed if visiting Kentucky. We combined this visit with some other day visits to some bourbon distillery‘s. Thank you for allowing us to visit us enchanting, magical place! 🐴. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking involved.

The picnic area was so beautiful like it was out of a magazine. The tour was informative and you can feed the horses. I thought that was cool.

We have toured this beautiful farm multiple times. The horses are gorgeous , very interactive and love their pets. There are also other animals, rabbits, quail and chickens that make it an especially fun place for kids.This is a great way to spend an afternoon!

The host and guide were both very welcoming as they walked us around their beautiful property and taught us about the gorgeous horses. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves horses!
