Chapo was an amazing guide. He knew when to change tactics (bait) and when to change locations to make sure that we caught fish all day. We ended up with four beautiful keepers despite very tight slot restrictions due to Winter Storm Uri. I have fished with various guides all ovet the world and Chapo is one of the best in the business. He was amazing with my son who is 13 and nephew who is 9. They both had a blast and learned a lot thanks to Chapo's calm straight forward approach with them. Very highly recommend for a great day on the water in South Padre Island!

Dakota was a great fishing guide. Went with my kids 10 and 8 years old. Trout were hit hard by winter storm freeze so we went for red, drifting with drag net in bay. He kept our lines in the water with bait and made sure my kids lines were cast well constantly. He was friendly and was on phone real rime with other boats to keep up with where the fish were. He gave fishing technique tips and guided us on bringing them into the boat. We caught 4 red fish good size and ate them for dinner the next night. Highly recommend.

My family and I enjoyed this fishing experience! Chapo, our captain is very knowledgeable and friendly, he showed us how to cast and how to hook a fish. He also took us to several good fishing spots. After the trip we were all talking how much we enjoyed the fishing experience and how we would want to come back in the near future and book another private bay fishing trip with Chapo.

Our family had a fantastic time fishing. We caught 3 gorgeous Red Drum. Captain Brady was persistent in finding those fish. We also ate at the Lobo Del Mar restaurant. It was great. Who knew Captain Brady also plays the bagpipes?! We appreciate their determination in keeping their family owned business up and running.

SPI Captain did a great job of keep our 3 girls (4, 6, and 7 years) busy. The captain would cast and taught them how to real. The 4 year old caught 3 with 1 keeper, and the oldest caught 1 keeper. The fishing was slow, but we were more interested in the experience. SPI even fileted the fish for us and the restaurant cooked up our fresh catch for $10 per plate that included two sides!

We had the best time! Captain Brady was so awesome! Family of 6 with grandparents. My son was in heaven, caught a Texas Slam, flounder, trout, and red fish in one trip. It was so awesome! We also got to see dolphins on the way back which my 4 year old daughter loved. The restaurant filleted the fish and we paid for them to cook half of it for lunch. As a plus the restaurant has amazing drinks 😃 Highly recommend!!! We would go again if we return.

We went on the 4 hour fishing rip and we had a great day on the water and caught a lot of large sea trout and red fish. Our boat captain was Chapo and he took us right to the fish. I highly recommend this excursion and can’t wait to come back and do it again.

We did the private guiding fishing with Captain Chapo and it was GREAT. Would recommend 100%. We had 6 people who didn’t know what they were doing and he was able to keep up with all of us. We had a great time and are hoping to go out again before we leave!
